Defense wins Championships

 March Madness begins this Saturday with the round of 64 college basketball teams. It is known that basketball fans tend to focus on the high-scoring offenses when choosing their brackets, but this year could be different and it’s best to keep the scrappy defensive teams in mind when choosing your 2021 bracket. For example, Virginia made it to the championship two years ago because of the pressure put on by their defense. There have been many upsets over the past years with march madness and this year is no exception. No. 14 ranked, Abilene Christian, in the East Region is predicted to beat No. 3 ranked Texas. This is because of their top defensive rating. We’ll have to wait and see the results of the game, but personally this year I’m choosing my bracket based on the team’s defense because defense wins championships.
